Creation of Waste Life-Cycle Analyses

Use

You can use this function to create a waste life-cycle analysis.

Caution Caution

SAP stresses that this function is merely an example of how to create a waste life-cycle analysis, and applies specifically to the laws and regulations in Germany. SAP does not therefore guarantee that the waste life-cycle analysis created contains all the data required by the regulations in Germany or any other jurisdiction. You must therefore adapt this function to meet your requirements or use it as a copy template for your own function.

End of the caution.

Features

The waste life-cycle analysis is created on the basis of disposal document data.

Options

You can specify the following, for example, for creating waste life-cycle analyses:

  • You can specify the waste generators for which the waste life-cycle analysis is to be created.

  • You can specify the period of time for which the waste life-cycle analysis is to be created. You can also specify which date from the disposal documents is to be taken into account ( handover date , takeover date , or acceptance date ).

    Example Example

If you specify that the waste life-cycle analysis is to be created for the period from January 1, 2005 to December 31, 2005 and that the handover date is to be taken into account, the waste life-cycle analysis is created from the data in the disposal documents that contain a handover date within this period.

    End of the example.
  • You can specify the disposal document type and the status of the disposal documents that are to be taken into account for the waste life-cycle analysis. If you do not specify a status, disposal documents with all statuses are taken into account, including those with the status CAN (Canceled).

  • You can specify the unit of measure in which the waste life-cycle analysis is to be created.

    Note Note

You can only enter a unit of measure that you have specified as a base unit of measure or alternative unit of measure in the material masterfor the wastes for which you are creating the waste life-cycle analysis, or a unit of measure that has the same dimension as the base unit of measure (see Units of Measure ).

    End of the note.
  • You can specify whether the waste quantities in a waste code are added up in the individual items of the waste life-cycle analysis ( life-cycle analysis without internal wastes ) or whether the quantities are added up in separate items for each individual waste ( life-cycle analysis with internal wastes ).

  • You can specify a layout for both types of totaling, which controls how the data is displayed (see "Layout").

Data Determination and Data Check

To determine and check the data, the standard system uses the following function modules:

  • EHSWA_801_WASTEBAL_STD_BUILD: Example for Determination of Waste Life-Cycle Analysis Data

  • EHSWA_801_WASTEBAL_STD_CHECK: Example for Check of Waste Life-Cycle Analysis Data

In Customizing for Basic Data and Tools under Specify Environment Parameters , you can exchange the standard function modules for your own function modules in the following environment parameters:

  • WAM_FUNC_BAL_BUILD: Determination of Disposal Document Data for Waste Life-Cycle Analysis

  • WAM_FUNC_BAL_CHECK: Check of Disposal Document Data for Waste Life-Cycle Analysis

The standard function EHSWA_801_WASTEBAL_STD_BUILD adds up the quantities of wastes in individual items in the following manner:

  • If you have set the LC analysis w/o int. wastes indicator and a waste approval is required for the disposal documents, the system adds up the quantities of disposal documents in one item in which the following data is identical:

    • Waste generator

    • Waste disposer

    • Waste transporter

    • Waste approval

  • If you have set the LC analysis w/o int. wastes indicator and no waste approval is required for the disposal documents, the system adds up the quantities of disposal documents in one item in which the following data is identical:

    • Waste generator

    • Waste disposer

    • Waste transporter

    • Waste code

  • If you have set the LC analysis with int. wastes indicator, the waste is handled as an additional sort criterion. That means in the two cases described above, the waste must also be identical in the disposal documents for them to be added up as one item.

Layout

The system displays each totaled item of the waste life-cycle analysis in one row of a table. For each item you can display in another table the data for the disposal documents whose quantities were added up in the item. To keep the display clear, the system displays no more than the following assigned objects for a disposal document:

  • 5 waste generators

  • 5 waste disposers

  • 5 waste transporters

  • 5 waste codes

  • 3 licenses per waste generator

From the screens with the tables, you can use the Error Log function to display the messages that occurred when the disposal document data for the waste life-cycle analysis was checked.

  • If you choose the function from the totals display, that is from the table with the totaled items, the system displays all messages for all disposal documents of all items in the table, independent of which item you have selected.

  • If you choose the function from the detail view, that is from the table with the disposal documents for one item, the system displays all messages for the selected entry, that is for the selected disposal document.

The system displays the table using the SAP List Viewer grid control ( ALV grid control). Its standard functions, such as sorting, totals, field selection, layouts, and so on, are available for you to use when configuring the display. Note the following for the layouts:

  • The following layouts are supplied with the standard system:

    • 0BALANCE_SUM for the totals display

    • 0BALANCE_DOC for the detail view

  • In the following user parameters, you can enter user-specific layouts as defaults:

    • ALV_LAYOUT_BAL_SUM: Layout for totals display

    • ALV_LAYOUT_BAL_DOC: Layout for detail view

  • If you save a layout as the default in the application, the system only takes this layout into account as the default if you have created the corresponding user parameter with no value.

  • If you specified a layout on the selection screen, the system takes it into account for the display and ignores the layout in your user parameters or in the default setting.

Activities

  1. In the Waste Management menu , choose Start of the navigation path Reporting Next navigation step Create Waste Life-Cycle Analysis End of the navigation path .

  2. Enter the required data and choose with the quick info text Execute .

The waste life-cycle analysis screen appears on which the system displays the totaled items.

  3. If you want to display the data for the disposal documents whose quantities were totaled in one item (one row), choose the row by double-clicking.

The system lists the disposal document data for the item in a similar table.
