Releasing Waste Approvals This procedure describes how you release a waste approval. Only data in released waste approvals can be transferred automatically in
Waste Management
and used for checks (see
Result
section).
The following conditions must be fulfilled in order for you to be able to release a waste approval:
In Customizing for
Waste Management
, you must have processed the Customizing activity
Specify Processing Status for Waste Approvals
and set the
RelStat
(release status) indicator for at least one status. (Release status) set
The current date is within the validity period for the waste approval, in other words the waste approval is valid when it is released.
You have assigned at least one waste code to the waste approval (see Editing Waste Code Assignments ).
You have assigned at least one disposal document-relevant waste generator and waste disposer, in other words you have set the
Disp. doc. rlvt
indicator for at least one assigned waste generator and waste disposer (see
Editing Waste Management Business Partner Assignments
sa).
At least one of the disposal document-relevant waste generators and waste disposers assigned has a transregional authority-assigned number s
The validity area of this number matches that of the disposal document type that was assigned to the waste approval.

You define the validity area of the disposal document type under
Specify Disposal Document Types
in Customizing for
Waste Management
In the
Waste Management menu
, choose
Master Data
→

Overview
In the overview tree, double-click a waste management business partner that is assigned to the waste approval that you want to release. If you do not know any of the assigned waste management business partners, proceed as follows:
Enter the waste approval that you want to release on the
Partner
tab page or enter search criteria for the waste approval on the
Waste approval
tab page.
Choose
with the quick info
Display hit list
Double-click the waste approval that you want to release.
Choose the
Waste Approval
tab page.

Do not select any data records on the other tab pages before you choose the
Waste approval
tab page. Otherwise a
data filter
is set, which may mean that some of the waste approvals are no longer displayed.
Under
Process. status
, enter the status for the corresponding waste approval that you specified as the release status in the Customizing activity

Save your entries.
The data in a released waste approval is automatically transferred to the following places in
Waste Management
and used for checks:
The system transfers data from the waste approval to a disposal document under certain conditions when you assign the waste approval to the disposal document (see Assigning Waste Approvals ).
If you have assigned a waste approval to a disposal document, the system also updates the waste quantity specified in the disposal document in the waste approval and checks that the waste quantity licensed there is not exceeded (see Automatic Quantity Update sa).
The system automatically uses a purchasing document of category K (
contract
), which you specified for a waste disposer in the waste approval, under certain conditions when you create a purchase order from theSAP
disposal processing
component and specify the waste disposer (see
Determination of a Valid Contract from the Master Data
).
