Searching for PhrasesIn the Basic Data and Tools menu, choose one of the following paths:

The initial screen appears . You can start the search from here. During the search, all entries are linked with AND.
The system supports language-dependent full-text phrase searches in the Phrase code
and Phrase text
fields.
Note
Search terms in language-dependent search fields are not converted with EH&S Native Language Support. You can enter only search terms in languages that can be represented with the active Code Page of the application server.
If the Phrase Text
field contains an asterisk (*) to the right of the search string, the search will include only the first 132 characters of a phrase (e.g. physician*); otherwise, a full text search will be performed (e.g. ph*ysician*) or *physician*).
Enter all the data if you have it. The SAP system supports searches based on incomplete data as follows:
Right and left restriction of the phrase key with *, e.g. A15
Generic search based on right and left restriction with *, e.g. *first* for language-dependent text
Placeholders in the middle of a key, e.g. BC+EF standing for BCDRF or BC1EF etc.
Combination of search methods, for example, *1234+678*
Note
The search differentiates between lowercase and uppercase letters.
The language field is set to the logon language. You can change it as required. If the phrase does not exist in the language for the search, it will be displayed in the language in which it was created.
Use the search functions under Restricting Criteria for Phrase Selection
(see Phrase Search ).
Choose Hit List
.
In the hit list, the SAP system lists the phrases that correspond to the search criteria.
If the SAP system does not find the required phrase, you can enter new search criteria, or create the phrase yourself.
