Function Module

Use

You have the following options for defining a function module as the processing method for a symbol:

  • In Customizing for Basic Data and Tools in the detail screen of the IMG activity Check and Specify Report Symbols

  • When editing the layout of a document template on the Symbol tab page as the expansion mode NM and expansion parameter M

    The entry on the tab page has higher priority.

The function module must correspond to a specific interface. The system checks both in Customizing as well as when you use a method in a layout, whether the function module is active in the system and whether it corresponds to the defined interface.
