Editing Default Parameter ValuesFor each parameter, you have the option on the screen of adding another individual value before or after the current individual value. The prerequisite is that the Parameter Value Can Only Be Displayed
indicator is not set (see Indicators for Default Parameter Values). Individual values can be deleted as long as one individual value remains that may also be empty.
All information with the exception of the value is transferred from the source line. The ordinal numbers are adapted accordingly.
New parameters cannot be inserted.
The F1 help can be displayed for all fields, and for the default values whose corresponding OBJECT/ATTRIB information has a DDIC help, an input help can be displayed.
The Parameter Value Was Changed Manually
indicator is set for all default parameter values that were changed on the screen. Then a table of the structure CVDDP is returned internally with the default parameter values.
See Default Parameter Value Determination, Features: Parameter Value Screen
section.
In the Product Safety menu, choose one of the following options:
Reports
→ Report Management
→ Edit Reports
Reports
→ Report Information System
Note
If you display the preliminary report (see Testing Layouts), the parameters are displayed as ready for input, and you can enter values manually. If you do not change the parameter values, the dialog box is not displayed again the second time you call the function.
Enter the search criteria for a report that contains parameter symbols and choose the Report Tree
function.
Position the cursor on the report and choose the Parameter Values
function.
The screen for parameter values appears.
Note
The parameters can be determined depending on the validity area and the language. For this, the corresponding fields must be filled in the determination function module. If no data has been entered in the Validity area
and Language
fields, the parameter is valid for all validity areas and all languages.
The input help for the value fields depends on the value category. For value category 2 (long text) and value category 5 (phrase), you have the option of displaying the long text and the phrase using the respective pushbutton. For value category 4 (DMS document), you can display the document using a pushbutton.
Using the Hierarchy On/Off
function, you can display the following columns:
Parameter hierarchy
Parameter object
Parameter object key
Parent parameter object
Parent parameter object key
Nesting depth
If the default parameter values have hierarchy information, it is displayed.
You can use the Log
function to display log entries that were created in the determination function modules.
Note
If a log exists with warnings and error messages and you exit the Parameter Values
screen without having seen the log, a warning is issued informing you that there are warnings and errors. If there are errors, you cannot print, send, or export reports.
You can edit the parameter values. The changes are lost when you exit the current transaction.
