Function Module
You can define a function module as the processing method for a symbol by choosing one of the following options:
In Customizing for
Basic Data and Tools
in the detail screen of the IMG activityCheck and Specify Report Symbols
When editing the layout of a document template on the
Symbol
tab page as the expansion mode
NM and expansion parameter MThe entry on the tab page has higher priority.
The function module must meet the requirements of a specific interface. The system checks both in Customizing as well as when you use a method in a layout, whether the function module is active in the system and whether it meets the requirements of the interface.
