Editing Generation Variants - SAP Documentation

In the Basic Data and Tools menu , choose Start of the navigation path Report Definition Next navigation step Edit Generation Variants. End of the navigation path

The corresponding initial screen appears.

Enter your search criteria in the initial screen (see Searching for Generation Variants ) and choose with the quick info text Hit List.

If the SAP system finds data records that correspond to your search criteria, the hit list appears. See Basic Functions in the Hit List .

Select the variants you want to edit.

Note Note

You can edit selected variants using the functions in the Edit menu.

To copy an existing variant, select it and choose Start of the navigation path Variant Next navigation step Copy Template End of the navigation path .

You can choose the following functions to carry out further editing:

with the quick info text Header to edit the generation variant header
with the quick info text Description to enter a generation variant description
Rating/Validity to edit ratings and validity areas for generation variants
Application Objects to define application objects
