An Overview of the Batch Input Process

Batch Input

- 1. If necessary, the data from the external source needs to be transferred to a sequential data file.
- 2. The batch input program reads the sequential file and creates the batch input session.
Within this step, you can specify the user that will later execute the batch input session.
- 3. The batch input session is placed in a queue to be processed by the SAP System.
- 4. The batch input session is processed in the SAP System. Sessions are typically set up to be processed automatically, but may also be processed manually.
