Configure Data Source Task Panel
The Configure Data Source task panel enables you to define attributes for a data source. A data source is a function call, business object, Web service, enterprise service, query or characteristic that is imported into the model. At runtime, the data source is called and returns results.

The type of system in which the data source is located. This option is only available for Web services and data sources of type BAPI/RFC . |

System alias |
The alias of the system in which the target data source is located. This option is only available for Web services and data sources of type BAPI/RFC . |

Configuration |
Auto Commit |
For function calls that modify the database, a second commit call is automatically sent to confirm the database update. This option is only available for data sources of type BAPI/RFC . |

Auto-convert |
Indicates that a conversion BAPI is required, to convert values in one unit of measurement to another. This option is only available for data sources of type BAPI/RFC . |

Keep connection open |
Select the checkbox to keep the connection open. |

Reference ID |
Service reference ID used for service group. |

Reset Cache |
Select the checkbox to refresh the BI application to reflect changes to the database. This option is only available for data sources of type BI Data Sources. For more information, see SAP Note 2092229 |
