Configure Data Flow / Configure Data Map / Configure Transition Task Panels

The Configure Data Flow, Configure Data Map, and Configure Transition task panels enable you to define attributes for a connecting line of one of the following types:

Data Flow
Data Map
Transition (between two layers or between a popup and a layer)

These connecting line types have similar attributes. Connecting lines are used to channel data and events between model elements according to the specific element type. You use connecting lines to indicate the direction of the flow of information or events from one model element to another.

The following table describes the properties and attributes of these model elements:

General	Guard	Specifies the condition that must be satisfied in order for the event to be activated. You can enter a condition directly in the relevant row, or click fx to define a condition in the Dynamic Expression Editor dialog box.
Event name	The name of the action that raises the event for transferring or maps the data between the elements joined by the connecting line. You can either choose an existing custom event name, or select a predefined event name from the list.
Select mode	Specifies which data rows should be transferred or mapped between elements on the connecting line. The following options are available: All data rows: Transfers or maps all rows of data. Current data row: Transfers or maps only the single row of data that is highlighted by the user at runtime (the data row that in which the cursor is positioned). Selected data rows: Transfers or maps only the rows of data selected by the user at runtime. Note This property is available only for Data Flow and Data Map connecting lines.
