Accessing Visual Composer in a Web Browser

Prerequisites

Your administrator has assigned you the VisualComposerUser role. The assignment is made using SAP NetWeaver Administrator. For more information, see the User Administrator and Authentication section of the Visual Composer Security Guide .

Context

The following section describes how to access Visual Composer through a Web browser window.

Procedure


  1. Open Microsoft Internet Explorer.

  2. In the address bar, enter the URL of the Visual Composer server as follows:

    http://<machine name with full domain>:<portnumber>/VC/freestyle.jsp

    For example: http://dwdf041.wdf.sap.corp:54000/VC/freestyle.jsp

    where dwdf041.wdf.sap.corp is the fully-qualified domain name of the Visual Composer server host, and 54000 is the application port number on the Java EE 5 Application Server in use by the Visual Composer Server installation. Note that VC is case sensitive.

  3. In the Welcome screen, enter your user name and password, and click Logon .

Results

Visual Composer opens with an empty workspace to the left and a Get Started task panel to the right. For more information, see Introducing the Storyboard Desktop .
