Creating a Model

Prerequisites

A development component is available for saving your model. If not, create one following the procedure in Creating a Model and Development Component .

Context

You create a model in a specific location in the development server. When you create a model, you also choose its type, for example, Composite View or Service Component .

Procedure


  1. Choose Start of the navigation pathModel Next navigation step NewEnd of the navigation path. In the Create New Model dialog box, choose the model type, enter a name for the model, and choose the runtime, the repository, the software component, and the development component in which you want to store the model.

  2. Click OK .

Results

The Design board is displayed with an empty canvas ready for you to begin creating the model content.
