Moderating Forums

Use

A moderator checks and approves new forum content before putting it in a forum and making it visible for participants in the forum.

He or she manages content both before and after it is placed into a forum. Moderators can change, move, or delete forum content.

Prerequisites

The following prerequisites must be met:

  • The administrator has assigned you a portal role that gives you access to the Admin Console forum. Certain functions for moderating forums are available to you within the console.
  • Your administrator gave you moderator permission for a forum, multiple forums, or a category.
  • The forum concerned must be a moderated forum. To achieve this, the administrator has to activate moderation.
