Archiving of Excise Duty Document Table (MM-IM-ED)

Definition

Excise duty documents are archived, deleted, and reloaded using the archiving object /BEV2/EDMD.

Use

Excise duty documents are only archived if they are not used in the Excise Duty component.

Note Note

The documents should not be archived until they have been checked by the relevant customs authority.

We do not recommend archiving excise duty documents (from tables /BEV2/EDMSE and /BEV2/EDMST) and the related MM or SD documents for a specific period until the customs authority has checked the documents for that period. If you archive the documents before they have been checked by customs, you can no longer trace the document flow in the system – based on the excise duty documents – back to the source document.

End of the note.

You can display the logs for the write programs in one of two forms:

  • Log (summary)

Grouped display based on analog message texts with reference to a sample data record from a related archiving object.

  • Log (detail)

Individual display of all archiving objects belonging to an archiving run, including message texts.

For more information about the logs generated during archiving, see Logs .

Integration

Displaying archived document tables

To display archived document tables using the Archive Information System, you need an archive information structure and a field catalog.

Note Note

If you want to display the archived document tables, you must define the archive information structure and field catalog, since they are not part of the standard delivery.

End of the note.

The archive information structure must be set up and active before the system can use it.

For more information about archive information structures, see Using the Archive Information System .
