Finding Projects

Procedure

If you want to find a project on which you have worked recently or if you do not remember its project ID, you have to find the project in the database before you can open it. There are two ways to find a project: You can search for it directly either in the Service Implementation Workbench (transaction SIW) or in the SIW Monitor (transaction SIW_MONITOR).

To find (and open) one or more projects in the Service Implementation Workbench transaction, proceed as follows:

  1. Start the Service Implementation Workbench (SIW) transaction.

  2. Select the OPEN icon on the toolbar.

  3. The system then displays a dialog box in which you can enter the Project ID, the Configuration ID, or the pattern and the Maximum number of hits that you want to display.

  4. Enter the necessary values (or pattern) and select Start Search.

To find one or more projects in the SIW Monitor, proceed as follows:

  1. Start the SIW Monitor transaction.

  2. Enter at least one of the following selection criteria:

    • The attributes of one or more projects:

For example, the project ID and configuration ID, the service operation, the service interface name and namespace in the ES Repository, or the service creation type. The system selects all projects that match these criteria:

    • The ID or name of one or more objects:

The system selects all projects that have at least one generated object matching the entered criteria.

    • The project context data of one or more projects:

The system selects all projects with project context data of the specified value. Project context data refers to the underlying configuration and can be the proxy class name or a prefix.

  3. Execute.

Result

As a result, the system displays either the specified project or an overview of all projects that match the specified criteria. If a list is displayed, you can double-click the project that you want to open. From the overview, you can navigate to the detail information of each project by double-clicking it.
