You can make the following Customizing settings for the archiving object HRPD_PREL:

  • Group Relationship Types

    You can group relationship types for which the same retention periods/residence durations apply into one archiving subobject. In the write program HR_PD_PREL_WRI for this archiving object, you can select this grouping of relationship types for archiving/data destruction.

    Example Example

    You can specify the relationships for interests and potential in one archiving subobject (with the name ARCH, for example) and destroy them together because identical retention periods apply for these relationships.

  • Block Destruction of Relationships

    If other applications still need the relationships in the HCM applications that are to be deleted, those applications can block data destruction. To set up the blocking of data destruction for relationships in your system, you have to register the relevant applications for the veto check.

Procedure

  1. Group the relationship types in Customizing for Personnel Administration under Start of the navigation path Tools Next navigation step Data Privacy Next navigation step Data Destruction Next navigation step Define Grouping of Relationship Types End of the navigation path.

  2. If required, register the applications that are to block the destruction of relationships for the veto check in Customizing for Personnel Administration under Start of the navigation path Tools Next navigation step Data Privacy Next navigation step Data Destruction Next navigation step Block Data Destruction Next navigation step Register Applications for Veto Check End of the navigation path. Then activate the veto check in Customizing activity Activate Applications for Veto Check.
