You have the following fields available for defining retention rules for data on EIC activities:
Country Grouping (MOLGA
)
You can define retention rules that are based on the country grouping to which a personnel number belongs.
Category (CATEGORY
)
EIC Category: Type of Employee Interaction Center (EIC) request.
You can use categories to classify activity types in the EIC. You can classify activities in the following cases: EIC agents can use categories to classify activities. Employees can select an existing category for their EIC requests to fill the subject field of the request form. You can define these categories in Customizing for the Employee Interaction Center. You can also divide categories into subcategories to enable a more accurate classification.
Subcategory (SUBCATEGORY
)
EIC Subcategory: Subdivision of an EIC category.
Subcategories enable you to further subdivide the categories you use to classify requests in the Employee Interaction Center (EIC).

You can define retention rules that are based on the type of company property (subtypes of the Company Property
(0040) infotype).
You define, for example, a country-specific retention rule, based on the type of company property: All personal data on the company property plant ID card are to be destroyed after 2 years for all employees with the country grouping 01 (Germany). You use the BAdI implementation BDI_IRM_OT_FLD_HRPA_OBJLN
to determine the value for the permitted rule-relevant field MOLGA
.
