Finding and Reading Archived Data

Use

This function enables you to display data that has been archived using the archiving object BC_HROBJ .

Prerequisites

Data has already been archived using BC_HROBJ.

Features

You can display archived data in the following ways:

  • Using transaction SARA ( Archive Administration ). After you have entered the archiving object, you can display the archiving runs under Management.

  • Using transaction SARE ( Archive Explorer) . You can use the field catalog and the info structure SAP_BC_HROBJ_01 to find archived data.

  • Using transaction AS_AFB . The Archive File Browser is displayed in which you can find the existing archive files for all archiving objects. For more information, see Archive File Browser .

  • Using transaction SM37 you can display the jobs. The actions in Archive Administration are scheduled according to jobs.
