ILM Object

To create and use policies and rules for the HRCDENT archiving object in Retention Management of SAP NetWeaver Information Lifecycle Managementt (ILM), an ILM object has to be available. HRCDENT is the ILM object associated with the archiving object.

Condition Fields and Time References

To define retention rules using ILM policies (transaction IRMPOL) for HRCDENT, you can use the following condition fields and time references (start time for determining the retention duration).

Available Condition Fields:

  • MV Reporting (implemented as an archiving subobject)

    You can use this field to define retention rules only for a specific type of reporting. For this, you use the value of the technical name of each archiving object (in the V_T77PAD00_AOCLS view).

    When creating a retention rule with ILM Policies (transaction IRMPOL), you can enter the archiving subobject (for example, 01CISKV for DE Construction Pay: Funds Procedure) in the MV condition field.

Available Time References:

You determine the start time of the retention period for the report based on the value in the HCM_END_OF_YEAR_PER field, End of the Year in a Period.

Object Category and Policy Category

You define policies for HRCDENT in the SAP Business Suite object category (OT_FOR_BS) with the Retention Rules policy category (RTP).
