Background documentationEnhancements for HRLSO_CURR

The end of the retention period of a curriculum is usually determined using the valid-to date of the object. If the curriculum contains an e-learning course (a time-independent course), the valid-to date for the curriculum can be the system end date (12/31/9999). In this case, it is not possible to determine the end of the retention period.

Therefore, the following apply for determining the retention period:

  • If the curriculum does not contain a time-independent course, the valid-to date (ENDDA) of the curriculum is used to determine the retention period.

  • If the curriculum contains a time-independent course, the date on which the curriculum was most recently changed is used to determine the retention period.

The BAdI implementation BDI_IMPL_OT_STT_HRLSO_CURR is available for the archiving object HRLSO_CURR. This BAdI implementation is used to indirectly determine values for start times. Depending on whether the curriculum contains a time-independent course, the BAdI implementation calculates the date for the retention rule.
