Periodicity

The frequency with which archiving is to be performed depends on the number of data records generated during posting to Accounting in each period, the amount of available memory, and the speed at which your system accesses data.

The frequency with which data is to be destroyed depends on the retention rules that you defined for the index files with the functions for ILM policies and rules.

Archiving date

You may only archive index files for posting to Accounting up to the date until which the payroll results of Payroll have been archived.
