You can display archived HCM processes without reloading them to the database. To do so you use the Read Program for Archived Processes (PRASR_PA_READ).

Archived processes that have been destroyed cannot be displayed since they have been deleted from the database and the archive.

Prerequisites

  • You have activated Business function HCM_ASR_CI_6.

    For further information refer to HCM, Administrative Services 06

  • You have run write report (HRASR_PA_WRITE) with archiving mode.

  • You have run delete report (HRASR_PA_DELETE) in production mode.

  • To run the write program (HRASR_PA_READ) of the archiving object HRASR_PA, you need S_ARCHIVE added to your profile, as well as having the P_ABAP authorization. If you have P_ABAP authorization with the CORAS set to 2, you do not need additional read authorizations for the HCM processes.

    • S_ARCHIVE (Checked by ILM Framework)

      Suggested values:

      • ACTIVITY: 01

      • APPLIC: HR

      • ARCH_OBJ: HRASR_PA

    • P_ABAP (Checked by HCMPF Framework)

      Suggested values:

      • COARS: 2

      • REPID: RPASR_PA_READ

Procedure

  1. Go to Archive Administration: Initial Screen (transaction SARA)

  2. Enter the archiving object HRASR_PA and choose Continue.

  3. Choose Read.

  4. Choose Batch or Dialog in the Background/Dialog field.

  5. Choose the Read Program PRASR_PA_READ

  6. If you chose Batch, proceed as follows:

    • Enter a variant name and choose Edit. If required, state whether you want to use the variant for all selection screens, or only to display archived processes, and choose Continue.

    • Enter the selection criteria of your choice and choose Attributes.

    • Make the settings of your choice and save the variant.

  7. If you chose Dialog, proceed as follows:

    • Choose Execute

    • Enter the selection criteria of your choice and save. The Variant Attributes screen appears.

    • Make the settings of your choice and save the variant.
