Displaying/Maintaining Default Values

Use

You can display or maintain the default values for the selected areas.

Prerequisites

You are in the initial screen or in an Info Object List of SAP Knowledge Warehouse.

By choosing Start of the navigation pathUtilities Next navigation step Settings Next navigation step Select AreasEnd of the navigation path on the initial screen you have selected all areas for which you want to display or maintain the default values. It is not possible to display or maintain default values for non-selected areas.

Procedure

To display default values that have already been maintained, proceed as follows:

  1. Choose Start of the navigation pathUtilities Next navigation step Settings Next navigation step Display/Maintain Default ValuesEnd of the navigation path

    The Display of default values for attributes screen appears.

  2. Expand the relevant subtree of an area.

    If you select the area and use Start of the navigation pathExpand SubtreeEnd of the navigation path the attributes of all classes become visible.

  3. You can now see which attributes already have a default value and whether this value is valid for the complete area or a special info object class only.

To change or redefine default values, do the following:

  1. Choose Start of the navigation pathUtilities Next navigation step Settings Next navigation step Display/Maintain Default ValuesEnd of the navigation path

  2. Switch to change mode by choosing Start of the navigation pathMaintenance Next navigation step Display ↔ ChangeEnd of the navigation path.

  3. Expand the relevant subtree of an area.

  4. You can maintain the required default values via context menu using the right mouse button.

    By choosing Create for each area or Create for each class, you can define a new value.

    If a default value has already been maintained, you can change or delete it.

Result

The next time you create an info object the attributes are already predefined with the default values.
