Checking the Translation Package

Use

This procedure checks the quality of the target language files or the entire translation package.

Prerequisites

You have created and translated a translation package.

Procedure

• To check the target language file open in Microsoft Word, choose Add-Ins  Check.

  The following checks are started:

  • Checks the title length

  • Checks that the graphics are correctly embedded. Graphics must be embedded in the document.

  • Checks that all the hyperlinks that exist in the original language document are defined and correct

  • Reports on inconsistencies

  • Writes messages in the log SapTrExt.log in the directory of the translation package

• To check all the target language files of a translation package, choose Add-Ins  Check Package.

In addition to the above checks, the KXF file is compared with the contents of the translation package.

Result

The target language file or translation package was checked.
