Changing the Usage Type of Structures

Use

You can change the usage type of a structure.

The usage types are:

  • Book structure

    You can display a book structure independently of other structures.

    A book structure can be used as a structure link or a structure include.

  • Substructure

    You can only display a substructure from another structure.

    A substructure can only be used as a structure include.

Prerequisites

You are in the Info Object List.

The content object has the status Editing.

Procedure

To change the usage type, proceed as follows:

  1. Select a structure.

  2. Choose Start of the navigation pathInfo Object Next navigation step Attributes Next navigation step ChangeEnd of the navigation path.

  3. The Select Attributes dialog box appears.

  4. Select Usage Type and continue.

  5. In the Usage Type dialog box, choose and apply the usage type.

Result

The usage type of the selected structure is changed.
