Changing the Technical Name

Prerequisites

You are in the Info Object List, the Structure Editor or online processing.

Procedure

To change the technical name of an info object in the Info Object List or in the structure editor, proceed as follows:

  1. Select the info object.

  2. Choose Start of the navigation pathInfo Object Next navigation step Attributes Next navigation step ChangeEnd of the navigation path.

  3. The Select Attributes dialog box appears.

  4. Select Technical Name and continue.

  5. In the Change Technical Name dialog box, enter the new technical name.

During online processing, choose Start of the navigation pathInfo Object Next navigation step Change AttributeEnd of the navigation path. The remaining steps of the procedure do not differ from the above.

Result

The technical name entered is assigned to the selected info object.
