Changing Original Language

Prerequisites

  • A version of the info object exists in the new original language.

  • The info object is released in both the old and new original languages.

  • The released version of the info object in the new original language is a translation of the released version in the old original language. It can be a direct or indirect (via a third language) translation.

  • You have chosen the processing mode Change and are in the Info Object List.

Procedure

To change the original language of info objects, proceed as follows:

  1. Choose one or more info objects in an Info Object List.

  2. Choose Start of the navigation pathInfo Object Next navigation step Attributes Next navigation step Change Original LanguageEnd of the navigation path.

  3. You can choose from a list of languages that is displayed.

  4. Select the document classes you require and then Apply.

Result

The new original language is assigned to the selected info objects.

In Translate mode, column Translation Status is set to Do Not Translate.
