Appending Folders to a Hierarchy Node

Use

With this procedure you can append a folder to the nodes of an entry structure.

After defining the navigation hierarchy of an entry structure by inserting hierarchy nodes, fill this hierarchy with contents by appending folders to the nodes.

Prerequisites

You are editing an initial structure and are on the screen Changing the Structure <Technical Name>.

Procedure

  1. Select a (hierarchy) node in the entry structure.

  2. Choose Start of the navigation pathInfo Object Next navigation step Insert Next navigation step At Same LevelEnd of the navigation path or Start of the navigation pathInfo Object Next navigation step Insert Next navigation step As SubnodeEnd of the navigation path.

    As an alternative, you can use the Context Menu (right mouse button).

  3. In the next dialog box, choose Use Existing Info Object.

  4. In the next dialog box, choose Folders.

  5. Select the area from which you want to insert folders.

  6. Enter search criteria to find the desired folders in the selected area.

  7. In the hit list of folders found, select the desired folders and choose Continue.

  8. The folders are inserted in the entry structure as folder nodes.

  9. Save the entry structure.
