Inserting Hierarchy Nodes into an Entry Structure

Use

With this procedure you append nodes to an entry structure, thereby building a navigation hierarchy.

Prerequisites

You are editing the entry structure and are on the screen Changing Structure <Technical Name>.

Procedure

  1. Select a node in the entry structure.

  2. Choose Start of the navigation pathInfo Object Next navigation step Insert Next navigation step At Same LevelEnd of the navigation path or Start of the navigation pathInfo Object Next navigation step Insert Next navigation step As SubnodeEnd of the navigation path.

  3. In the next dialog box choose Create New Info Object.

    In order to add hierarchy nodes, in the Select Area dialog box the Administration area needs to be selected.

  4. In the following dialog box, select either the Info Object Class Topic (IWB0NOD) or Multimedia Object (IWB0GEN).

  5. Enter your required data and choose Copy.

  6. When you insert a node of Info Object Class Topic, a document is opened in MS Word whose first line contains the name (or title) of the info object. Enter further contents for the info object and save them.

  7. Insert further hierarchy nodes in the entry structure as required.

  8. Save the entry structure.
