Find Info Objects (In the Background)

Use

You can search for larger numbers of info objects and store the results.

Prerequisites

You are in the initial screen of SAP Knowledge Warehouse.

Procedure

To find info objects in the background, proceed as follows:

  1. Choose Start of the navigation pathUtilities Next navigation step Find Next navigation step Find Info ObjectEnd of the navigation path.

  2. If you have selected several areas, the dialog box Select Area appears.

    In this case, select the area in which you want to find the info objects.

    Otherwise the Info Object Class dialog box appears directly.

  3. Select one or more info object classes and copy the selection.

  4. The Find Info Object dialog box appears.

  5. To improve system performance, restrict the search with selection criteria.

  7. Start the search in the background.

  8. The Specify Search Result Name dialog box appears.

  9. To improve system performance and the clarity of the list of search result, select the field User-Specific.

  10. Enter the name under which the search results should be stored in the Name of Extract field.

  11. In the Extract Description field, enter a short text for the search results.

  12. Start your search.

Result

The search is started in the background.

The search results are saved under the given name.
