Inserting Existing Info Objects
Use
You can insert existing content objects, structures, and substructures (chapter) in the structure.
You can include or link to existing structures.
Prerequisites
You are in the Change Structure screen.
Procedure
If you have selected the structure editor (with drag and drop), you have the following options to insert existing objects:

From an Info Object List

From a different structure
To insert info objects from the Info Object List, proceed as follows:

The Info Object List screen appears.
Note that initially the Info Object List for the folder to which the structure is assigned is displayed.
If you want to add info objects from other folders choose New Info Object List to choose the relevant info objects.
Make the required selection in the Info Object Class dialog box.
The Find Info Object dialog box appears.
Enter your search criteria and start the search.
As a result, the new Info Object List with the results of your query is displayed.
The result list contains the attributes selected for the structure editor (for example, info object title)

Use the control key to select one or more info objects that you want to add to the structure.
The sequence of the info objects when inserting in the structure corresponds to the sequence in the Info Object List.
- The Selection of Drop Operations dialog box appears.
Continue and insert the object on the same level or as a subnode.

Save the structure.
To insert info objects or entire chapters from a different structure, proceed as follows:

The Find Info Object dialog box appears.
Enter your search criteria for the structure and start the search.

The Select Info Object dialog box appears.

Select the relevant structure and open it in a separate window by choosing Execute.

The window Structure for Drag and Drop appears.

Select individual info objects to add to the structure using the control key.
You can take over entire chapters, or, by selecting the root object, all info objects from a structure.

Continue and insert the object on the same level or as a subnode.

Save the structure.
If you have selected the option structure editor (classic), proceed as follows:

Place the cursor where the info object should be inserted.

Choose or As Subnode.

The Insert Info Object dialog box appears.

Choose Use Existing Info Object.

The Info Object Class dialog box appears:

Choose one or more Info Object Classes.

The Find Info Object dialog box appears.

Enter the selection criteria and start the search.

The Select Info Objects dialog box appears.

Select the info objects to be inserted and copy them.

If you have chosen a structure object, you can specify in the Structure: <Technical Name> dialog box whether you want to include or link to this structure.

Save the structure.
Result
One or more info objects (content or structure objects) were inserted as new nodes in the structure.
