Status In Processing Mode "Translate"

Use

The Status attribute defines the processing status of an info object in the target language. The status is maintained by translators.

Key Features

The status can be:

Status

Meaning

Processing

The info object has not been released in the current context.

This status is set automatically when an info object (with translation status new or to be translated) is checked out.

It can also be set manually.

Released

The info object was released for translation in the current context.

This status is set manually when the author has completed work.

This info object then appears automatically for translation. A translation status is also generated specifying whether the info object has ever been translated (translation status: New) or changed (translation status: To Be Translated).

Copy Editing, Resubmission, Review, For Release, Not Released

These statuses were only relevant for the Business Workflow. The workflow in the SAP Knowledge Warehouse is obsolete and should no longer be used.

An additional attribute - the translation status - that specifies the status of a target language version of an info object in relation to the source language version is displayed in Translate processing mode. This attribute is not assigned manually like the Status attribute; it is derived from the status values of the source and target language versions:

Translation Status

New

There is no target language version of the info object.

To be translated

The author changed the info object and released it in the source language version. The target language version has not yet been changed.

The info object has been translated.

Released
