Changing Content Objects

Use

You can change info objects of class Slide, Text or Topic and Visio graphic as follows:

• Editor
• Upload a new version

Prerequisites

You are in the Info Object List or in the structure editor of the SAP Knowledge Warehouse system.

Procedure

To change a content object in the Info Object List using the editor, proceed as follows:

1. Select the content object to be changed.

2. Choose Info Object  Change  Editor.

   You go to the appropriate Editor.

3. Change the content object.

4. Save your changes and close the document.

To change a content object in the Info Object List by uploading a new version, proceed as follows:

1. Select the content object to be changed.

2. Choose Info Object  Change  New Version.

   The Select File(s) for New Version dialog box appears.

3. Navigate to the target file and choose Open.

4. If the check-in is completed successfully, the display of the application log is optional. If case of an error, it is displayed directly.

To change a content object in the structure editor using an editor, proceed as follows:

1. Select the content object to be changed.

2. Choose Info Object  Content  Change  Editor.

   The appropriate editor is displayed in a split screen. In order to display the editor in the 'full screen', choose Info Object  Content  Change  Editor (In Full Screen).

3. Change the content object.

4. Save your changes and close the document.

To change a content object in the structure editor by uploading a new version, proceed as follows:

1. Select the content object to be changed.

2. Choose Info Object  Content  Change  Update from File.

   The Select File(s) for New Version dialog box appears.

3. Navigate to the target file and choose Open.

4. If the check-in is completed successfully, the display of the application log is optional. If case of an error, it is displayed directly.

Result

The content object is changed.
