Inserting Hyperlinks

Prerequisites

You have opened a content object for editing.

Procedure

To insert a hyperlink, proceed as follows:

  1. Select the required insert position or select the text that you want to use as the hotspot for the hyperlink.

  2. Choose Start of the navigation pathInfo Object Next navigation step Insert HyperlinkEnd of the navigation path.

  3. The Info Object Class dialog box appears:

    If, due to the settings in the connection area of the data model, you can also create hyperlinks in content objects from other areas, the Select Area dialog box will appear. Select the area where the target object of the hyperlink already exists.

  4. Choose an Info Object Class.

  5. The Find Info Object dialog box appears.

  6. Enter your search criteria for the content object and start the search.

  7. A list of the content objects that are found is displayed.

  8. Select the required content object and choose Execute.

Result

A hyperlink to the chosen content object is inserted in the currently edited content object.

The link hotspot is highlighted in blue and underscored.
