Economic Indicators

This Model Table represents an organization’s economic disclosures, including company performance indicators, such as revenue and operating profit as well as different types of costs, and others.

The function defines the following fields:

  • Fiscal Year: You use this field to specify the year for accounting purposes.

  • Company Code: You use this field to specify the company whose financial data is taken into consideration. This field can have different values since Value Chain Sustainability Management can be executed at controlling area level, which spans multiple companies and legal entities.

  • Country/Region of Entity: You use this field to specify the alpha-2 country code of the country/region where the company is located. In this table, the field is affiliated with the Profit Center field.

  • Profit Center: You use this field to specify the lowest granularity in a company or legal entity that generates profit.

  • City: You use this field to specify the city where the company is located. In this table, the field is affiliated with the Profit Center field.

  • Posting Date: You use this field to specify the date on which the transaction is executed in the accounting software in SAP S/4HANA.

  • Posting Period [Month]: You use this field to specify the span of time covered by a set of financial statements. It can be a code for either one month or for a certain longer period.

  • Controlling Area: You use this field to specify the level of reporting that the company leverages. It divides its controlling areas as in SAP system or financial systems.

  • Effect: You use this field to specify a particular impact induced by the business activities, including environmental, social, and economic effects.

  • Effect Value: You use this field to specify the quantified result of the effect.

  • Effect Unit: You use this field to specify the corresponding unit to measure the effect.
