Previous Year Activity Drivers

This Model Table function is used to provide periodic activity drivers for the relevant activities as well as products and services for the previous year.

It defines the following fields:

• Activity: Activities usually stem from company internal surveys or are already defined in company internal processes.

• Posting Date: You use this field to provide plan and forecast totals on a yearly, quarterly, monthly, or even daily basis to run the profitability and cost management process.

• Activity Value: This field contains the key figure used to allocate activities to products and services and uses the activity driver as a unit.

• Activity Driver: You use this field to specify the unit description of the activity, such as pieces, hours, FTEs, and so on.

• Activity Source: In some system landscapes, the activity driver data is coming from multiple systems (such as data warehouses, timesheet systems or production systems) or entered manually. In such cases, the Activity Source field can have different values. This field is also available in reporting.

• Geographic Region: You use this field to define the specific geographic region in which a company is makes business (for example, market-wise, company representative or office space).

• Product for Profitability Analysis: You use this field to define the product or service that uses the activity value as a variable portion to allocate the activities.

• Fiscal Year: You use this field to specify the year for accounting purposes.
