Business Data

In this section, you define the data sources for GL data, business events and additional accounting assumptions.

There are the following functions provided:

  • Accounting Assumptions

This Model Table function is used to provide information about assumptions and calculations between GL accounts. For more information about this function, see Accounting Assumptions.

  • Steering Table – Initial

This Model Table function is used to provide information about the production of products and routes within the company. You can find information about all possible combinations regarding which company produces which product and all possible routes within the group.

  • Steering Table for Checking

This Model Table function is used to store the data after updating the Steering Table – Initial Model Table and warn about possible issues.

  • General Ledger Data

This Model Table function is used to provide information about GL data with costs and revenues for each Sunshine company.

  • Business Events Data

This Model Table function is used to provide periodic events data usually coming from a general ledger feed from the relevant accounts. For more information about this function, see Business Events Data.

  • Exchange Rates Data

This Model Table function is used to provide information about exchange rates for specific dates according to different exchange rate types. You use this table for exchanging rates from transaction currency to global currency. When you define conversion types at calculation unit level, they will reference this model table, and those rules are used in the Conversion function Convert Data to Group Currency (COGRT).

  • Actual Unit Costs

This Model Table function is used to provide information about actual costs and events in the company. The information from this table is compared with the results of the modeling, which are calculated according to planned data.
