Activity Drivers

This Model Table function is used to provide periodic activity drivers for the relevant activities and lines of business.

It defines the following fields:

• Posting Date: You use this field to provide plan and forecast totals on a yearly, quarterly, monthly, or even daily basis to run the profitability and cost management process.

• Company ID: You use this field to specify different values as profitability and cost management is usually executed at controlling area level, which spans multiple companies and legal entities. This field is also available in reporting.

• Activity: You use this field to define the activity that uses the Resource Value as a variable portion to allocate the resources.

• Line of Business: You use this field to define the line of business in companies.

• Activity Driver: You use this field to specify the unit description of the activity, such as pieces, hours, percentages and so on.

• Activity Driver Value: You use this field to record the key figure used to allocate activities to lines of business and refers to the activity driver as a unit.
