In this section, you define additional query functions to enable execution users to review results.

Once the Profitability and Cost Management calculation has been executed, the following review and reporting activities can be executed:

• Review Results [Side-by-Side Simulation]

  This Query function is used to provide read data access to the profit and loss results, comparing results for the planned period by different scenarios.

• Review Results [for QR Simulation]

  This Query function is used to provide read data access to the profit and loss results, comparing results for the planned period by different scenarios.

• Profit Breakdown by Service [Side-by-Side Simulation]

  This Query function is used to provide read data access to the Profitability and Cost Management results at service level, comparing results for the planned period by scenarios.

• Profit Breakdown by Service [for QR Simulation]

  This Query function is used to provide read data access to the Profitability and Cost Management results at service level, comparing results for the planned period by scenarios.

• Activity Results

  This Query function is used to provide read data access to the Profitability and Cost Management results at activity level per different posting dates.

• Service Preference Among Customer Groups

  This Query function is used to provide the profit breakdown. The user has the possibility to analyze which services are preferred among different customer groups.

• Customer Group Analysis per Market Region

  This Query function is used to provide read data access to the results of Postal Services Profitability and Cost Management at customer group level directly in this query based on different market regions.

• Profit and Cost Center Analysis

  This Query function is used to provide profit results where the user can see the assignment of each cost center to the corresponding profit centers.

• Value Flow

  This Query function is used to provide read data access to a traceability result report showing the end-to-end value flow.

  The configuration ensures that the complete profitability and cost flow is visible and traceable on one screen, from GL accounts through all applied drivers and portions to the final allocated amount.

• Service Analysis per Package Type

  This Query function is used to provide a value flow chart to show which package type is preferred per each service.

• The configuration ensures that the complete profitability and cost flow is visible and traceable on one screen, from GL accounts through all applied drivers and portions to the final allocated amount.

• Net Profit Margin per Service [%]

  This Query function is used to provide read data access to the results of Postal Services Profitability and Cost Management at service level.

  The field Amount [GC] is shown at service level, categorized by posting dates. Net profit margin (in percentage) is calculated using a formula and shown in the report.

  The display option Show Result Rows is set to “No” for every field in the report.
