Checking Replication-Relevant Objects

Context

You can check the replication-relevant objects

  • Replication objects

  • Publications

  • Subscriptions

  • Subscription generators

  • Sites

  • Company employees

  • Organizations

  • Links

and their assignments.

Possible errors, such as incorrect assignments, objects that have not been deleted completely, and data inconsistencies, are determined and displayed.

For the displayed objects, you can normally use the View Object pushbutton to call up the application that can be used to fix the error. This could involve the Administration Console or the BDoc Modeler, for example.

Procedure

  1. From your SAP Easy Access user menu, choose Start of the navigation pathArchitecture and Technology Next navigation step Middleware Next navigation step Administration Next navigation step Administration ConsoleEnd of the navigation path, and then in the menu, Start of the navigation pathExtras Next navigation step Check ObjectsEnd of the navigation path. You could also choose Start of the navigation pathArchitecture and Technology Next navigation step Middleware Next navigation step Development Next navigation step Checks Next navigation step Check Replication Relevant ObjectsEnd of the navigation path.
  2. Enter the message types, the object type, or a specific object, and choose Execute.

Results

The results on the screen Check Replication Relevant Objects - Overview can be further checked and processed, using the following pushbuttons:

View Object

Calls up the application to further check the error, and to troubleshoot it. This usually involves the Administration Console.

Long Text

The long text contains notes on the cause of the error, and troubleshooting.

Overview

Provides statistical information on the number of objects checked, and their messages. You can display the individual messages from here by double-clicking them.

Errors, Warnings, Information

The scope of the results can be restricted to individual message types.
