Central Settings

Use

In this tab, you can configure the central settings for the selected InfoProvider. These settings apply to the entire planning model, provided that the model is based on the InfoProvider.

Procedure

The display mode provides you with an overview of settings available in the system.

In change mode, you can make changes to the settings:

  1. Instead of using the default value, you can specify a fixed date or a variable value (see Default Key Date in Planning Functions).

  2. Specify the number of combinations that the system generates for the selected real-time InfoCube or DataStore object for direct updates in planning mode (see Characteristic Relationships).

  3. Specify whether you want a planning sequence to check the data of the selected InfoProvider (see Saving Changed Values in section Checking Data Before Saving with a Planning Sequence).

    • Specify the planning sequence that checks the data of this InfoProvider before the system saves the data. Input help is available.

    • Specify whether you only want changed records to be processed. This setting affects system performance.

    • Specify an aggregation level as the aggregation level to read changed data.

    If the planning sequence reports an error, the data is not saved.

  4. Before you select another InfoProvider or leave the tab page, save your settings.
