Customizing Settings for the Production Backflush In order to work with the production backflush, you must make settings in Customizing for the DI and APO systems.
You find the Customizing for the production backflush under
The Customizing in the APO system is found under .
Set Backflush Profile : You define a backflush profile in the DI system, in which you can, for example, define the goods movement types for the goods receipt and goods issue. You also specify a stock determination rule.
If you work with the two-step production backflush, specify a movement type and storage location. For further information, see Processing Backflushes in Two Steps .
Define RFC Group : You specify an RFC group and in doing so, group servers for a group together.Using this RFC group, you can distribute the system load using parallel processing and in doing so process chronologically offset backflush processes more quickly. For further information, see Processing the Backflushes in the DI System .
Number Range DI Backflush : You assign backlogs, material backflushes and production activity backflushes to number ranges. Note that you must define two intervals for the material tables. At least one interval must exist for the activities tables, the CO materials tables, the backflush in two steps and the post processing records.
Settings for BW Transfer : You specify whether and how backflush data should be transferred to the Business Warehouse.
In the SAP APO system, you define a profile with which you can control the creation and display of production backflushes in SAP APO. For further information, see Define and Preconfigure Profile .
If you create a backflush with a variance, you can specify the reason for the variance and enter additional information for the backflush. For further information, see the Creating the Backflush and Creating Variances .
Specify the control parameters for the backflush process. If you want to work with the parallel processing technology for background processing, you must firstly specify how many work processes should be processed at once, with which logon-/server group you want to work, and how many items should be contained within the package that is to be processed in the background.
In addition to the settings that you make in the Implementation Guide for the production backflush you also define reporting point types in the iPPE Implementation Guide. For further information, see Defining Reporting Point Types .
For further information about the individual functions, see the documentation for the individual IMG activities.
