Relationship Service Architecture

Use

The relationship service manages the model data and the runtime tables separately. The following graphic shows how you use the object relationship service. You maintain the model data for which the relationship service provides an interface. After that, you can call the relationship service at runtime. If, for example, you generate in application 1 a document for a second document in another application 2, call the object relationship service, so that this creates a relationship between both documents according to the model data maintained. The roles in which the documents have been related is also determined in the model data. These roles are saved together with the relationship from the object relationship service.

The following is not shown in the graphic: Both applications can access the related documents by using the related documents.
