Linking Business Locations to Sites in SAP Retail

Use

If you have installed an SAP Retail system, you can link each business location to a site in the SAP Retail system using Remote Function Call (RFC).

Prerequisites

In Customizing for the Industry Solution Oil & Gas (Downstream) , you need to specify the address of the Retail system. You can also specify whether the system checks for the validity of the site ID that you enter in the location master record. You define RFC destinations when you define the relevant retail network business type. To do this, choose Start of the navigation path SSR Next navigation step Basic Settings Next navigation step Define retail network business type. Next navigation step In End of the navigation path Screen Configuration for Business Location Master Data , you must also ensure that the field for entering a site ID is activated for this business type.

Procedure

  1. Choose Start of the navigation path Logistics Next navigation step Sales and Distribution Next navigation step Service Station Retailing Next navigation step Master data Next navigation step Location Next navigation step Change. End of the navigation path

The Change Business Location: Initial Screen appears.

  1. Enter the:

  • Location ID

  • Business type for which you have defined a link

  1. Choose Enter and then the Control data tab.

The Change Business Location: Control data screen appears.

  1. Enter the address of the site in the SAP Retail system in the Site in Retail field .

  1. You can use the Display site information pushbutton to display site data from the Retail system.
