Calling BEx Web Applications in BEx Web Application Designer

Prerequisites

Make sure that your system administrator has made the required settings in the Connected Portals table ( RSPOR_T_PORTAL ).

Procedure

  1. Start BEx Web Application Designer by choosing Start of the navigation pathStart Next navigation step Programs Next navigation step Business Explorer Next navigation step Web Application DesignerEnd of the navigation path or by double-clicking on the relevant desktop icon.
  2. Open an existing BEx Web template or create a new one.

  3. In the toolbar, choose Execute... .

Results

The BEx Web application is opened in SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence's BI launch pad, allowing you to navigate in the data.
