Budget Monitor in the Price Planning Workbench In the Budget Monitor, the system displays the planning data for budgets. You can display all the budgets that are assigned to you in authorization management, or that are linked to the price plan currently being processed. Displaying budgets aids the planning of price changes. If you change prices in the work area of the
Price Planning Workbench
(PPW), the system automatically updates the budget data in the budget monitor.
You have made the settings for budget planning.
You have specified that you want to use the budget function and the Budget Monitor. You have also defined the relevant budgets for each price planning process.

You can use the following views in the Budget Monitor.
In the
Budget Overview
, the Budget Monitor displays all the budgets for the current period that are assigned to you in authorization management.
You can restrict the budgets displayed by making entries in
Price Plan Category, Validity Period,
and
Budget Type
.
In the
Budgets for Price Plan
view, the budget monitor displays the budgets that are relevant for the price plan currently being processed.
For promotion price plans, the system also takes future periods into account.
In the Budget Monitor, you can display the budgets in their planning currency or in the currency that applies to the price plan currently being processed.
You can display the details for an item in the Budget Monitor.
In the dialog box, the system displays details for status-dependent budget commitment levels and provides an overview of budget values.

You can refresh the Budget Monitor display to view the effects of changes made by other users in price planning on the budget data.
