Maintenance of Signature Object for Application (SIGNO)

Use

With the transaction SIGNO, you can specify the application and the signature object that you want to link to the signature tool.

Prerequisites

You have created the following data and tables:

In the transaction SIGNA, you have specified the application that is to be linked to the digital signature.
You have created a metadata table.
You have created a log structure.

Activities

When you start the transaction SIGNO, the Register Signature Objects for Digital Signature view appears.

Enter the following data.

Field	Description
Application	Here, you specify the application that you already specified in the transaction SIGNA. Example Sample application `DSIG_EXAMP`
Object	Here, you specify the abbreviation for the object that is to be signed later, for example, `DS_OBJ`.
Metadata table	Here, you specify the metadata table that you defined for your application, for example, `DSIG_META_EX` (see also Information About Metadata Table).
Log structure	Here, you specify the log structure that you already defined. Example Log structure for sample application: `DSIG_EXAMPLE_SIGN_LOG`
Subobject	Here, you specify the subobject for the application log that you specified in the transaction SLG0, for example, `DS_OBJ` (see also Registering Subobjects for the Application Log).
Comment	Here, you specify whether a signatory is permitted to enter a freely editable text comment for the signature provided. If a comment is required, the user can only provide his or her digital signature if he or she has entered a comment.
Remark	Here, you specify whether the signatory is permitted to select a remark from a list of predefined remarks and add it to the signature provided. Whether remarks are available depends on the respective application. The individual remark texts are made available by the application. If a remark is required, the user can only provide his or her digital signature if he or she has selected a remark.
Object description	This indicator specifies that the description of the signature object is to be displayed. If you set the indicator, the description of the signature object is displayed in the title bar of the signature dialog box during the signing process.
Document	Here, you specify whether the signatory is permitted to view the document to be signed.
Description	Here, you specify the description of the signature object or application for which a digital signature is provided, for example, `Signature Tool: Signature Object for Sample Data`. This object description is displayed in the dialog box in which you provide the signature. Depending on the application, it may be extended by an addition that describes the signed object more exactly. This description is then part of the signed document. It is added to the document in the language in which the signature was provided.
