Copying and Pasting Process Models

Apart from reusing individual model elements, you can also copy and paste a whole process model.

Prerequisites

  • You have opened the Process Development perspective in the SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio and have expanded your project in Project Explorer view.

  • You have modeled a process with the process composer.

Context

You can copy and paste process models either within the same development component (DC) or from one DC to another. In this case all the references are kept. When pasting the copied process model, naming conflicts are resolved.

If you have translated files in the process you want to copy, these files are copied too.

Procedure

  1. Expand Process Modeling, then expand Processes.
  2. From the context menu of the process you want to copy, choose Copy.

    Alternatively, you can choose Start of the navigation pathEdit Next navigation step CopyEnd of the navigation path in the Developer Studio.

  3. To paste the copied process model, choose Paste from the context menu of the Processes node.

    Alternatively, you can choose Start of the navigation pathEdit Next navigation step PasteEnd of the navigation path in the Developer Studio.
