Copying a Planning Version with Mass Processing

To copy the contents of one planning version to another planning version of the same information structure using a mass processing job:

  1. From the standard SOP or flexible planning menu, choose Start of the navigation path Planning Next navigation step Mass Next navigation step processing Next navigation step Copy/delete version Next navigation step In info structure Next navigation step . End of the navigation path

  2. The screen in which you specify the parameters for your job appears.

  3. Enter the information structure(s) to which the job is to apply.

  4. If you want to limit the scope of the planning horizon, enter dates in the From date and To date fields.

  5. Enter the source version, that is, the planning version from which you want the data to be copied.

  6. Enter the target version, that is, the planning version to which you want the data to be copied.

  7. If this version does not already exist, the system will create it.

  8. Choose either Start of the navigation path Edit Next navigation step Get variant Next navigation step to use an existing variant or Next navigation step Edit Next navigation step Save as variant Next navigation step to create a variant. End of the navigation path

  9. On the next screen, specify your variant attributes.

  11. Choose Save .

  12. To schedule the job, choose Start of the navigation path Program Next navigation step Execute Next navigation step and specify a start time. End of the navigation path

  13. Choose Save .

Your job will run at the time specified.
