Configuring Advanced Adapter Engine Extended (PI-AEX)

Introduction

The configuration for AEX comprises the following steps:

• Basic Configuration for SAP PI Advanced Adapter Engine Extended

• Optional Configuration Tasks

• Communication and Security

• High Availability

• Configuring Business Systems Using the Local Integration Engine

• Integrating Business Systems Without a Local Integration Engine

Intended Audience

The configuration information is intended to be used by both consultants and administrators.

Required Users and Roles

To configure AEX, you need an administrator user of the Administrators group with the Administrator .

During the configuration, the configuration wizard locally creates the following service users automatically:

• Check SLD Access for PIAFUSER

• Check SLD Access for PIISUSER

• Check SLD Access for PIDIRUSER

• Check SLD Access for PIREPUSER

• Check SLD Access for PIRWBUSER

In case using a central (remote) SLD, you have to create these users there as well. Assign to them the SAP_SLD_CONFIGURATOR role (mandatory for the SLD configuration). During the configuration, the configuration wizard checks the existence and the assigned role of these users. This is a prerequisite for the self-registration on the SLD. Also during the runtime these users access the SLD.
